Petfinder Custom Text

If you are a Rescue Admin, you can access the Rescue Profile tab in the Dog House and add a sentence or two that can go at the end of each dog/cat profile on Petfinder. We suggest something that will cause people to go back to your website such as “More pets like pet above can be found at www.BuzzRescueGroup.com”

The Petfinder upload does not allow the following:
  1. Videos and Video URLs will not add to your pets when you use the FTP upload. There will be no videos associated with your pets.
  2. Petfinder does not allow any HTML in the animal descriptions. Any HTML will be removed from the pet descriptions.
  3. Pet-specific locations will not be set. All pets will inherit the default account location.
Pro Tip:

Want to stop people from sending an application to you directly from Petfinder?

We asked Petfinder and here is their response:

The group can essentially disable the “ask about” button by removing the email address from the “organization public info” and assigning all pet “contacts” to “organization public info”.  When pets are imported, they are automatically assigned to that default contact, anyway.  In this case, the visitor would see a message to call the group instead, and won’t be able to submit a question from the pet’s profile.
