Answer
If you are a rescue which takes dogs from other rescues or transfers them to other rescues, then the Shelter database is or you!
On intake, when answering the question “Where did dog come from?” while logging in a new dog, if you select “Other Rescue” the software will give you a drop-down list of the Shelters you have entered in the database.
Once chosen, it will be added to the dog’s internal profile.
If transferring a dog out to another rescue, the same is true.
To let the specialists of the software know what rescue to pull information for, you will need to set up the database in 6 quick steps!
-
To get to the database module, hover over your name in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard on the backend of the website. From the drop-down menu, select Rescue Databases.
-
You will now have the Database Menu on your screen from where you can manage all the information!
-
Select the Other Rescues button, then click on the Add A Rescue button on the right.
-
Fill out the name, address, and phone number for the shelter. Feel free to add any notes you want under the Notes section.
-
If there is a specific contact person at the shelter, scroll down and enter that information by clicking on the +Add A Person link. When you are done, click Save.
-
Once you click Save, the rescue will be added to your database. Continue following the above steps to add as many shelters as you want or need.
Now was that easy? And you never have to type that information again!
